Testimonials offer personal accounts from people who have received First Initiation and begun exploring consciousness through the inner Light and Sound. Experiences naturally vary, but the essential opening of First Initiation is the direct discovery that Light and Sound can be experienced within consciousness, independently of the ordinary physical senses.
Some people describe an immediate and unmistakable experience of brilliant Light, powerful Sound, peace, love, or expanded awareness. Others experience something quieter, with the meaning of the initiation becoming clearer through meditation over the days, weeks, or months that follow.
Light and Inner Landscapes
The inner Light may appear in many different forms during First Initiation.
Some people see points of Light resembling distant stars, gradually opening into vast starry skies. Others describe luminous clouds, waves of colour, radiant suns, tunnels of Light, or a brightness that seems to arise from everywhere at once.
There may also be intricate geometrical forms. These can appear extraordinarily precise, perfectly balanced, and far more complex than anything the ordinary mind could easily imagine. Some seem multidimensional, continually changing as consciousness moves through or around them.
Traditional landmarks may also appear. One of the best known is the thousand-petal lotus, which may be perceived as a radiant flower, a circular field of Light, an unfolding pattern, or something that cannot easily be described in physical terms.
Not everyone will see these particular forms. One person may encounter vivid landscapes and geometries, while another experiences only a gentle glow, a point of Light, or a deep inner darkness filled with peace and potential.
The importance of First Initiation does not depend upon seeing a particular image. These forms are possibilities within consciousness rather than requirements that everyone must fulfil.
Movement Through Consciousness
First Initiation may also contain a powerful sense of movement.
Some people feel themselves being drawn towards the Light or carried through an inner opening. Others describe rapid movement through what appear to be different planes or levels of consciousness.
This can feel like travelling through a tunnel, passing among stars, rising into immense spaces, or being carried forward at a speed beyond anything known in physical life. The movement may be so rapid that it resembles being propelled through consciousness itself.
There may be a sense of leaving the physical body behind, although the person remains safe and seated throughout the initiation. Ordinary awareness of the room may fade as attention becomes absorbed in the inner experience.
For some, the movement is dramatic and unmistakable. For others, it may be experienced more gently as expansion, lightness, floating, or a gradual release from physical limitation.
There may also be little or no sense of movement. A person may simply become still and find themselves aware of Light, Sound, spaciousness, or peace.
The outward form of the experience varies, but each may reveal that consciousness is capable of exploring realities beyond ordinary sensory awareness.
Freedom from the Lower Self
Alongside the Light and Sound, some people experience a temporary freedom from the lower or more limited sense of self.
The usual stream of thought may become quieter. Personal concerns, memories, tensions, and emotional burdens may temporarily recede. There can be a feeling of being released from the identity that normally seems to define us.
In this freedom, people may experience:
● Profound peace and stillness.
● A sense of weightlessness or expansion.
● Immense love without an obvious object.
● Joy or bliss arising from within.
● Freedom from anxiety and personal concern.
● A deeper awareness of their spiritual nature.
This does not necessarily mean that the personality or the challenges of everyday life disappear permanently. First Initiation is an opening rather than the completion of the spiritual journey.
However, even a temporary release from the lower self can be deeply significant. It may reveal that beneath the movement of thought and emotion there is a quieter, freer, and more expansive level of being.
A person may return from the initiation with the sense that their ordinary identity is only one part of who they are. The deeper Self may begin to feel less like an idea and more like something directly known.

The Inner Sound
The Sound may be experienced as clearly as the Light, although it too can appear in many different forms.
Some people hear tones resembling bells, flutes, strings, humming, rushing water, wind, music, or a powerful vibration. Others describe a continuous note that seems pure, living, and unlike any external sound.
The Sound may appear to come from one side, from above, from within the head, or from everywhere at once. It can be quiet and delicate or powerful enough to fill the whole of awareness.
For some people, the Sound creates a sense of being drawn inward or upward. It may seem to guide consciousness, deepen stillness, or carry attention beyond the ordinary thinking mind.
Others may not recognise the Sound clearly during the initiation itself. It may become more apparent later, as meditation develops and the mind becomes quieter.
As with the Light, there is no single form that everyone must experience. The Sound is not judged by its volume or dramatic quality. A subtle tone may be as meaningful as a powerful inner current.
Continuing the Exploration
First Initiation is not intended to be only a single remarkable experience. It opens a possibility that can be explored through continuing meditation.
The Light and Sound may return in meditation, sometimes strongly and sometimes quietly. Experiences may deepen, change, disappear for a time, or take forms quite different from those encountered during the initiation.
A person may gradually become more sensitive to inner stillness, subtle energy, intuition, love, or expanded awareness. Changes may also become visible in everyday life through greater calmness, understanding, patience, or freedom from habitual reactions.
There may be periods in which little seems to happen. These should not automatically be regarded as failure or loss. Inner development does not always unfold through dramatic experiences, and important changes may be taking place beneath the level of conscious recognition.
The value of meditation lies not only in what is seen or heard, but also in the gradual deepening of awareness and the transformation of the way life is understood and lived.
Reading the Testimonials
The testimonials on this website describe individual experiences rather than a fixed pattern that everyone should follow.
Some accounts may include brilliant Light, powerful Sound, rapid movement, geometrical forms, inner landscapes, or overwhelming love and bliss. Others may describe gentler openings whose importance was understood only gradually.
Readers are encouraged not to compare their own experiences with those of another person.
One person may see a star-filled universe, while another sees only a small point of Light. One may feel carried rapidly through planes of consciousness, while another enters a quiet stillness. One may hear a powerful inner Sound, while another recognises it only after weeks or months of meditation.
None of these experiences should be treated as a measure of spiritual worth or future potential.
The deeper question is whether something has opened — whether there has been some recognition of the Light, the Sound, inner stillness, expanded consciousness, or a deeper level of Self beyond ordinary physical awareness.
Testimonials can offer reassurance and encouragement, but they are not promises. Each person’s journey unfolds in its own way and at its own pace.
